Description

A festive and refreshing Red & Green Christmas Fruit Salad featuring a vibrant mix of grapes, strawberries, kiwi, raspberries, and pomegranate seeds, tossed with a zesty honey lime dressing. Perfect for holiday gatherings, this colorful salad is easy to prepare and delightful to serve as a light snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Dressing

  • 2 teaspoons lime zest (zest of 1 lime)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (juice of 1 lime)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (use agave for vegan option)

Fruit

  • 2 cups green grapes (cut in halves or thirds if large)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup green kiwi (quartered lengthwise and sliced, about 3 kiwi)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  1. Make The Dressing: In a small bowl, combine lime zest, lime juice, and honey. Whisk together until well blended. You can prepare this dressing a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator.
  2. Wash & Prep Fruit: Thoroughly wash all the fruit. Cut the grapes, strawberries, and kiwi into small, bite-sized pieces to ensure an attractive presentation and easy eating.
  3. Combine Fruit: In a large bowl, add the grapes, sliced strawberries, kiwi slices, raspberries, and pomegranate seeds.
  4. Gently Coat With Dressing: Drizzle the honey lime dressing over the fruit mixture. Gently stir to coat all the fruit, taking care to be extra gentle with the raspberries to prevent them from breaking. You can add raspberries last if preferred.
  5. Serve & Store: Transfer the fruit salad to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately for best texture. If not serving right away, serve within 2 hours. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days; note the salad will become softer and juicier over time.

Notes

  • This colorful fruit salad is an excellent addition to your holiday table, making it a festive choice for Christmas dinner or brunch.
  • For a vegan version, substitute honey with agave nectar.
  • Adding raspberries last helps maintain their shape and appearance in the salad.
  • Feel free to adjust the quantity of lime zest and honey to taste for a more tangy or sweet dressing.
  • Serve chilled for the freshest taste and texture.
