Description

Enjoy this homemade Copycat Shamrock Shake that perfectly replicates the fast-food favorite with creamy vanilla ice cream, refreshing mint extract, and festive green coloring. A quick and delightful treat ideal for St. Patrick's Day or anytime you want a cool minty shake.

Ingredients

Scale

Shake Ingredients

  • 2 cups premium vanilla ice cream
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8-9 drops green food coloring

Optional Garnishes

  • Chocolate syrup for glass drizzle
  • Whipped cream
  • Green decorator sugar or sprinkles
  • Maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Blend the shake: In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, whole milk, mint extract, vanilla extract, and green food coloring. Blend on high until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. If too thick, add a little extra milk to thin it out. If too thin, blend in another scoop of ice cream or a few ice cubes to thicken.
  2. Decorate glasses and pour: Optionally, drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of two tall glasses to create an attractive swirl effect. Then evenly divide the blended shake between the prepared glasses.
  3. Serve and garnish: Top each shake with whipped cream and sprinkle green sugar or sprinkles on top. Add a maraschino cherry as a finishing touch if desired. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshest flavor and creamy texture.

Notes

  • Use mint extract, not peppermint, for the authentic Shamrock Shake flavor.
  • If the shake is too thick after blending, add milk a little at a time to reach desired consistency.
  • Adjust the amount of green food coloring to achieve preferred shade.
  • For a richer shake, use premium ice cream and avoid low-fat milk.
  • To serve more, simply multiply ingredients in proportion.
